A Learning Alberta
In 2005/2006, nearly 3,000 Albertans provided their thoughts and input on the future of Alberta's adult learning system through a comprehensive review titled A Learning Alberta.
These ideas were rolled into a final report which presented a forward-thinking and strategic plan for transforming the adult learning system. All of the recommendations aimed to improve access to and success in advanced education opportunities for all Albertans, regardless of age, ability, location or financial situation. The Alberta government addressed the report's recommendations through direction-setting documents such as the Roles and Mandates Policy Framework, Building Vibrant Learning Communities and the Affordability Framework.
