eCampusAlberta is a partnership of 26 Alberta publicly-funded post-secondary institutions. It facilitates increased access to high quality online learning opportunities. The partnership allows Alberta students living anywhere in the province, as well as learners in other jurisdictions, to receive post-secondary education from any of the partnership’s member institutions.  Students can use the eCampusAlberta website to learn about and register in courses and programs and to choose their lead and partner institutions.

The lead institution develops courses, delivers programs and grants credits. The partner institution, which is the closest physical campus to the student’s residence, allows students to use its library facilities and to benefit from other student services, such as exam supervision. Member institutions list their online courses and programs on the eCampusAlberta website.

Participating students may study exclusively online or may take a distance delivered course to complete requirements for a classroom based program they are already attending.
