Key links and documents
The Campus Alberta Quality Council is an arms-length quality assurance agency that makes recommendations to the Minister of Advanced Education on applications from post-secondary institutions wishing to offer new degree programs in Alberta under the terms of the Post-secondary Learning Act and the Programs of Study Regulation.
Excluding degrees in divinity, all degree programs offered by resident institutions and non-resident institutions in Alberta must be approved by the Minister.
As part of the responsibilities set out in the Programs of Study Regulation, the Council monitors degree programs to ensure that its standards of quality continue to be met.
